This is our annual banquet meeting. Please bring a dish
to share and your own place settings.
Dinner will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by our banquet speaker, Tom Kuehl. We look forward to this entertaining and educational talk. Borrowing heavily from a program recently prepared and presented by Atlas Coordinator Amber Wiewel, Tom will provide a second-year progress report on the Third Pennsylvania Bird Atlas (PBA3) and information concerning how to participate for those who have not yet started to contribute to the Atlas Project. Tom will demonstrate how to navigate all the information that is available on the eBird Portal Website and available from the Atlas Map Tool. Tom will include a drill down into the progress towards the completion of blocks in Indiana County and a review of where volunteer effort is most needed for the upcoming breeding season.
Tom has collected quite a few photos while he and Janet were doing the Atlas and Winter Raptor Surveys during the 2024-25 winter, and he will share photos and their adventures of the season.
Todd Bird Club members, Tom and Janet, have been avid birders for more than 25 years. They currently serve as the Southwest Regional Coordinators for the PBA3 and are also the Westmoreland County Coordinators and are serving as the long-distance coordinators for both Beaver and Lawrence Counties. Tom is the PA Bird Journal Westmoreland County Compiler and the Bird Reporter for the Westmoreland Bird & Nature Club. He is a past Director, Vice-President, and President of the Pennsylvania Society for Ornithology. We extend a warm welcome to Tom and Janet!
