Trip Report
Today at Yellow Creek State Park, members of the Todd Bird Club helped park naturalist Mike Shaffer by leading third graders on birding outings. Just around 1:00 p.m. before we organized the final group, I looked up and spotted an immature Golden Eagle flying overhead. This was a life bird for Donna Meyer and Tom Glover and a county bird for Lee Carnahan, Gloria Lamer, and Anna Jennings, as well as the first Yellow Creek record and the fifth Indiana County record.
Other highlights included a pair of Orchard Orioles and seven Greater Yellowlegs.
